Pistol Dawn
...bringing you kickass, hard rock tunes straight
outta Las Vegas...
Review:
Pistol Dawn's virgin
offering to Las Vegas listeners displayed the solid musicianship of all it's members, with seamless songs that sounded more
like a veteran rock band, not the month-old newborn they are. Of the three song set, "Addiction" stands out, really showcasing
Susie's matchless voice. The venue was too small to really appreciate what was some obviously intricate fretwork by MavEryck,
but this listener got the sense that in a room with better acoustics we would have savored some serious ear candy. With the
exception of some confusion over who is the spokesperson for the band and the disruption between the second and third song
over a broken snare drum, this band gave a flawless performance. Their sound and style is loud, pure rock-and-roll, their
craft is rock solid, pun intended, and they need only that one breakaway song to catapult to a well deserved spot as one of
Vegas's, if not the nation's, best rock bands. If they sound this good after only a month, that breakaway song is not far
behind. Keep eyes and ears pealed--you won't want to miss this band.
Fine Ingredients of Pistol Dawn:
*Suzi-vocals that rock
*James-chunky guitar
*MavEryck-melodic guitar
*Sean-creative bass
*Marc-rock solid beats
